About the Opportunity

Austin Fire & Flood is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our restoration team. We provide emergency restoration and cleanup services for residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, biohazards, and other unexpected damage.

This is a hands-on, physically active position where no two days are exactly alike. Our technicians work in a variety of environments, use specialized equipment, and play an important role in helping customers recover from property damage.

We're looking for team players who take pride in their work, are eager to learn, and understand the importance of reliability in an emergency-response industry.

Experience in restoration is preferred, but candidates with construction, demolition, maintenance, or similar hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

Perform mitigation, cleanup, and restoration services for water, fire, mold, and specialty restoration projects.
Assist with water extraction, structural drying, demolition, debris removal, and property cleanup.
Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain restoration equipment.
Assist with containment setup, remediation procedures, and specialized cleaning.
Document job progress through photographs, moisture readings, and project notes.
Load, unload, clean, and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
Maintain organized job sites and follow established safety procedures.
Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow company safety protocols.
Work closely with project managers and fellow technicians to complete projects efficiently.
Respond to emergency service calls as part of the required on-call rotation.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in restoration, construction, demolition, or related trades preferred, but not required.
Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in varying conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and contribute to a team environment.
Willingness to learn new skills and follow industry safety standards.
Ability and willingness to participate in mandatory on-call rotations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Schedule & Availability

Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, restoration work is driven by customer needs, project volume, and emergency situations.

Weekly work hours vary based on the number and scope of restoration jobs received.
A minimum of 40 hours per week is not guaranteed.
Work schedules may fluctuate depending on project demands and emergency service needs.
Participation in the rotating on-call schedule is mandatory and a condition of employment.
On-call responsibilities may require responding to emergency calls outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Applicants must be able to fulfill their assigned on-call responsibilities.

What We Offer

Starting competitive hourly pay of $20.00–$24.00, depending on experience.
